Do you want your site to generate more income for you? Then you certainly wants to place your ads (Google adsense, addynamo, etc.) not only in an attractive spot but also in an unoffensive place to your visitors. Placing your ad in the header (top) or footer (bottom) of your site is one of the hot spots you can’t do without!
Unfortunately most of the very popular auto ad placement plugins do not place codes in the header/Footer of your blog. if you eventually find one that does, you still do not have the freedom to place the ad in the particular place you want your ad to appear say before your banner, after your Navigation, etc. So I shall teach you exactly this even if you have no former knowledge of codes 😉
How to place the ad code in your Header/Footer
- From your cPanel, open your File Manager and go to the root of your blog that is where you installed your blog/website.
- Locate and Edit(right click on the file to see Edit) of your header file usually named by default header.php across many platforms. if you cant locate this, use the site feature of your File manager. Also if you desire to place the ad code in your footer, locate and edit Footer.php, if you are using WordPress from your admin Dashboard go to Appearance==> Editor and select the desired file.
- Copy your generated advert code and paste it somewhere in your Header/Footer but make sure you place it inside the <body… tag and after </div> tag.
Look at the picture of one of my blog’s header themes above to have only an insight of what your’s may look like.
If you have little or no knowledge of codes, paste your code in different places and refresh your page to see how it looks. I advice you to copy and paste your original and paste it in notepad. save it as header.php or footer.php so that you can easily overwrite your broken codes incase….!
