It was an all colourful occasion when the much awaited Samsung Galaxy S4 was officially launched in Nigeria on the 10th of May, 2013 at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Of course this launch has been long anticipated. Infact we gathered from a quick survey that this grand occasion came late after Nigerians have already fed their eyes with the eye-catching technologies that accompanied the acclaimed most powerful phone on earth by CNet.
The launch was not void of colour and luxury. Perhaps, the most striking thing was not even the old new Galaxy S4 that officially landed on the Nigerian shores on the 10th, but the duo performance of the once EME separated father and Son: Banky W and Wizkid. The fans of the Nigerian Music industry had watched closely on the break-up and dissing stories that emanated from the once one party and they now confirm that the two can be one again against all odds.
Now that the S4 has come to stay, we wonder how many Nigerians can afford this N108, 000 price Android device –few? Will it end up only in the hands of the few rich? Ironically those few aren’t mainly the geeks that know what an Android can fully offer.
Anyway we still think the price isn’t that bad considering the ground breaking innovations in the GS4.
If you have got your Samsung Galaxy S4, then you have certainly got the most powerful phone in your hand!
