2go interactive, an African leading chat messenger has granted Iroko Partners Limited also known as iRoking a sub-domain in the 2go website in order to reach millions of its users with a new Music download service courtesy of iroking. The new joint mobile music download site is www.iroking.2go.im
The unique thing about this service is that users will download almost 100% Nigerian music. Nigerian music has spread its wings over Africa and beyond so its not a bad idea, but I think that iRoking should broaden their selection to feature popular African artists and good music that may not necessarily come from Nigeria.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD MP3 SONG FROM iRoking WEBSITE
From the main site, click on the Artist==>Album of the song you want to download until you get the track you need. Click on the download link depending on if you need a high quality mp3 file or not. The last high quality audio I downloaded from iRoking has a bit rate of 40Kb/s a 3:1 minutes music at the size of only 1.1Mb.
once you click on the download link, the download should start automatically after about 2 seconds. Alternatively, you can right click the link or long press and select Save as to download same file.
WHAT TO DO IF DOWNLOADED MP3 MUSIC COULD NOT BE PLAYED
I encountered this problem first time i downloaded from iRoking. If you have similar problem look at this solution:
- Check if your downloaded audio file has the .mp3 extension. If not rename the file and fix .mp3 . For example if the audio file is Flavour, rename it ==> Flavour.mp3 Do this with your preferred File manger.Try playing it now. 🙂
- If the .mp3 extension is there and it still could not play, check if the Audio file was completely downloaded. Go to the download site and check the actual size of the file, compare it with your downloaded file. If it doesn’t correspond, check your internet connection and re-download file.
